ABOUT THE AWARDS COMMITTEE
The G. Ross Freeman Leadership Award Program
was created by action of the Southeastern Jurisdiction
Conference Presidents of United Methodist Men
in June of 2001.
The purpose of the Award is to strengthen United
Methodist Men Fellowship in local churches by
honoring pastors who inspire men in ministries
of evangelism, missions, and spiritual growth.
The Jurisdictional Awards Committee was created
by an Amendment to the By Laws of the Southeastern
Jurisdiction Conference Presidents of United Methodist
Men in 2002.
The Committee is charged with the responsibility
of leading the search to identify Pastors who
are encouraging the ministries of men, reviewing
the work of the Annual Conference Selection Committees,
and facilitating a smooth operation of the annual
program. They will also select the Quadrennial
Jurisdictional Award to be presented every four
years.
