United Methodist Men’s E-News Launched

Welcome to the first issue of Men’s E-News.  Here we share news, ideas and inspiration from men of the church all over the southeastern USA.  We hope it will prove a useful tool in empowering men of your church in living out their call from Jesus Christ. Click for issue 2.

This E-News will contain summaries of articles designed to help men in their walk with the Lord.  Below you will find links to current articles of for and about the work of men of the church,

The first featured articles include:

  • “100 Men of Influence”  Rev. Dr. William Green of 1st UMC Cary, NC shares the inspired method by which, from modest beginnings, the men of Cary are effectively reaching towards their motto, “Every man a leader; every man an influence for Christ; and every man needs a lift.” Click for more.
  • “Being a pastor is not a ‘stand-alone’ job…”  Recipients of the Freeman Leadership Award (presented to pastors especially effective in their work with men of their church) gather for an annual “Think-Tank” to share ideas for strengthening men’s ministry in the local church.  A wonderful product of this gathering is a collection of ideas for building and empowering men’s ministry and their pastors with tested tools from leaders who have “been-there – done that”.  Click for more.
  • “From small beginnings…” This is the story that starts with three men on a mission team from a small Georgia church sitting around the kitchen table in Mexico and listening to the Holy Spirit.  God honored their efforts and now a lively and dynamic men’s fellowship has been reborn. Click for more.

This is a tool for men and from men.  We pray this service will be useful and that men will be blessed as they use this new resource for growth.
When your UMMen’s fellowship has a story of men in effective action for the kingdom share it with us at mensnews@sejumm.org.

Please share this Men’s E-News with anyone who might find it helpful in their walk with the Lord.
